Doubleheader With Oilers Tonight At Elmer Kelley

The Miners play their final two regular season home games tonight in a doubleheader against the Owensboro Oilers.

Game One will get underway at 5:00pm CT, with Game Two starting approximately 25 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Madisonville comes in with a 24-11 record, good for 2nd place in the OVL standings and 6.5 games back of the Hoptown Hoppers, who clinched the regular season championship and a first-round playoff bye with a doubleheader sweep of the Oilers last night.

Last night’s losses dropped 4th-place Owensboro to 20-16 on the season, 11 games back of the Hoppers and 4.5 games back of the Miners. Dubois County sits in 3rd place in the standings, 8.5 games back of the Hoppers and 2 games back of the Miners.

Madisonville will finish the regular season with a doubleheader in Hopkinsville on Thursday night, a visit to Muhlenberg County on Friday night, and a doubleheader in Dubois County on Saturday night.

OVL Playoffs

The playoffs are scheduled to begin on Monday, July 25, with four single elimination games. As soon as the brackets are final, we will post the Round One match-ups.
