Miners host Hoppers tonight

The Miners welcome the Hoppers to Elmer Kelley tonight at 7:05 pm Central Time.  We will broadcast the game on our Teamline website and also provide an unofficial iScore Gamecast for fans to follow (check our @MadvilleMiners Twitter or our Facebook page shortly before game time for the link to the Gamecast).

OVL Playoff Picture

With three regular season games remaining, the Miners (22-15) are 2.5 games behind 1st place Dubois County and 1.0 game behind 2nd place Fulton (24-14).

If the current standings hold, Hoptown (14-23) and Owensboro (9-29) will play a one game sudden death playoff on Thursday, July 23, in Hoptown for the right to get the #4 seed in the OVL playoffs and face #1 seed Dubois County.

Fulton would get the #2 seed and play #3 seed Madisonville at Elmer Kelley on Friday night, July 24, in Game One of a best-of-three series.  Game Two would be in Fulton on Saturday night, July 25,  Game Three (if needed) would be in Fulton on Sunday night, July 26.

The winners of the first two 3-game series will face each other in a best-of-three OVL Championship series scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 28.  The lower seeded team will host Game One, with Game Two (Wednesday, July 29) and Game Three (Thursday, July 30, if needed) hosted by the higher seeded team.
