Miners finally get the win against the Railroaders

Madisonville Miners 6, Fulton Railroaders 5.  In Madisonville the Miners finally got a win over the Railroaders in front of a home crowd and completed their regular season in style.  

     With a big 4th inning trailing the Railroaders 2-1, the Miners scored four runs and took at 5-2 lead.  The Railroaders crawled by to tie the game scoring one run in the 6th and two more in the 7th.

     In the bottom of the 8th inning, Jackson Martin walked, stole 2nd and made it to 3rd on a batted bat. Martin proceeded to take home on a wild pitch to give the Miners the winning lead. 

     Madisonville reliever Paul Goldman finished off the Railroaders in the 9th to complete the game and takes the win from the mound.  Fulton’s reliever CJ Lee was tagged for the loss.

     The Miners now travel to Dubois County on Wednesday to take on the Bombers in the first round, single elimination game in the Post Season Playoffs.  The Railroaders must complete their regular season on Wednesday in Fulton with the Hoppers, the game will decide 2nd and 3rd place for seeding in the Playoffs.  Box Scores Click Here.
