OVL Playoffs Game One: Mathias Brewers Shuts Out Railroaders 1-0 In Fulton

Mathias Brewers pitched a complete game shutout in Fulton lead the Miners to a 1-0 victory over the Railroaders in Game One of their best-of-three series.  Brewers threw 118 pitches over 9.00 innings, scattering five hits, walking two, and striking out twelve.

Madisonville’s lone run came in the top of the third inning off Railroader starting pitcher Eddie Mathis.  Connor Moss smoked a two-out triple into the left field corner and scored when Wesley Birchmeier hammered a ground ball to Railroader second baseman Brad Baldwin, who booted it.

Game Two of the series will be Saturday night at Elmer Kelley Stadium in Madisonville.  The game will get underway at 7pm Central Time.  Game Three, if necessary, with be Sunday at Elmer Kelley, beginning at 6pm Central Time.
