The Miners finally got into the win column on Wednesday with a huge victory over the Bombers. With a 3-1 through 7 1/2 innings, the Miners busted out in the bottom of the 7th with 10 runs scored off only one hit and 4 Bomber errors as Dubois County came apart at the seams.
The Bombers were only able to get one unearned run with 2 game hits and 9 errors total during the game. The Miners had 5 hits and one error in the 13-1 win.
Starter Abraham Almonte gets the win for Madisonville going 7 innings. Christian Vain takes the loss for Dubois County throwing for 4 innings.

The Miners will be hosting a Police & Fire Games during tonight’s game with the Dubois Co Bombers. The Police & Fire Games will feature local public safety responders competing against each other for bragging rights. The baseball game starts at 7pm and the competition begins at the start of the 2nd inning. Come out and watch the wheelbarrow races, the water balloon batting, the cornhole competition, the hitting competition and the dizzy bat race to end the competition. Cheer on your police, fire and EMT’s while they compete.
The Miners lost 7-0 to the visiting Fulton Railroaders tonight at Elmer Kelley Stadium in Madisonville.
Madisonville gave up two runs in the top of the 1st inning, one more in the 2nd, and four runs in the 8th inning. At the plate, Madisonville never got anything going, carving out just three hits on the night.

The Miners drop to 0-2 on the season, and the Railroaders improve to 1-1. Madisonville gets back in action Tuesday night at home against the Owensboro Oilers.
